We found the Mr. Coffee ECM160 espresso machine on sale, believe it or not, for only $29 locally. We weren't really looking for one but for the price we figured we would try it out. Most espresso machines are way more expensive which is why we just resign ourselves to paying $4 each day at the local coffee shop. I wasn't really expecting much but so far it has been awesome!!! I love cappuccinos and my husband is a fan of anything with espresso so we use it all the time.

The frother works great and the espresso comes out good. Some of the other reviews I read stated that the frother didn't work well but we have no problems. Just put a little water in the reservoir and you can steam milk in no time. While this isn't stated in the directions (maybe it should be), it seems obvious to us. Also, you can't froth and brew at the same time but what do you expect for the price? Sure it would be nice to be able to do them at the same time but it would add to the cost of this espresso maker.

One other thing to realize is there is no warming burner under the carafe so you have to drink the espresso as soon as you make it. No big deal but thought I'd mention this too. Overall this is a great machine. If you are spending a few bucks on a latte or cappuccino each day and just want a no frills, great brewing, espresso machine then you need the Mr. Coffee ECM160. I can't believe how good the taste comes out at such a low price. I highly recommend it, even if you aren't currently looking for one. I'd be surprised if any other machines can compete at this price.
