Cuisinart CHW-12 12 Cup Programmable Coffee Maker

My old coffee maker was pretty much toast so it was time for an upgrade. After some researching I decided to get the Cuisinart CHW-12 as I needed a full sized machine and this one delivers 12 cups each brewing. I also was looking for a hot water kettle and didn't want to have one appliance strictly for this. Once I found out that the CHW-12 dispensed hot water I was sold and I had to buy one.

Now I've only had it for a few weeks but compared to the other coffee makers I've owned over the years it really brews some nice tasting coffee. Just this morning I had a great tasting pot of my favorite flavored brew. What a great way to start the day.

As far as the positive features, I like them all. The programming is very simple to use and the Brew Pause works well. I find myself topping off my mug quite a bit and it's nice to be able to do this without making a mess on the counter. The carafe has a drip free design which again, works as advertised. My only real complaint would be that it can be difficult pouring the water into the machine depending on where you have it situated. It took me some practice to not spill water all over the place when doing this.

I highly recommend the Cuisinart CHW-12 to anyone looking for a full sized drip coffee maker. It's affordable, brews great, and even dispenses hot water for other drinks like tea and cocoa.
