Quiet coffee maker that brews a great cup

We purchased the Breville BKC700XL single serve coffee maker to replace a Keurig which was a pretty good machine for us. We needed something that didn’t take up as much counter space and went with this model because it was shorter. Plus, the Keurig was quite noisy (sounded like a plane taking off). This coffeemaker is very quiet indeed. This was a nice surprise for us.
The stainless steel look to the Breville is a nice feature. It looks great in our kitchen because we have all stainless appliances. Coffee makers are not usually thought of as decorative pieces of your home but this one really is. As for the brewing, it will make four different cup sizes plus an iced beverage option. When the weather gets warm outdoors I look forward to trying this out.
The attention to detail on this machine is amazing as well. It looks like the engineers put a lot of thought into it and really used materials that would last. Programming it is easy as is the overall brew process. All of the controls light up and are very easy to read. While the price was a little more than we wanted to spend we feel it was worth it after using it for a while. The low noise and great taste really make this machine shine.
Our household is very pleased with the Breville BKC700XL gourmet coffeemaker. It’s versatile, easy to use, and looks great on our counter. I haven’t found anything I don’t like about it. Highly recommended if your budget can afford it.

Nice grinder but one thing I don’t like

I recently bought the Breville BCG450XL coffee bean grinder from our local store and I have to say that I am very happy with it. When I first fired it up I was quickly impressed with how easily this model grinds the beans up and dispenses the grind. There was no mess anywhere which was a surprise to say the least. It has allowed me to brew fresh coffee everyday which is just how we like it in our family.
The timer is also a nice feature and it works well. Overall the machine looks very modern and matches everything well in my kitchen. It’s not overly loud during use either.
There is one thing that leaves a little to be desired, and that’s the quality of the plastic on the outside. It is quite thin and seems flimsy when you press on it. While this doesn’t affect the grinding at all it just makes me wonder how tough the internal parts are. I also agree with another review I read that stated it is a little tough to pour out the grounds at times due to the strange shape of the bean dispenser.
There really are just minor nuisances though. I am very happy with the Breville and feel it is one of the better deals in conical burr grinders. I know that some serious espresso lovers want a finer grind than what this machine produces but for me it works great. I am not a professional coffee brewer by any means so this model does just what I need.

Versatile single cup coffeemaker that brews a strong flavor

I began looking for a new single cup coffee maker and chose the Breville BKC600XL machine. After reading other reviews about the popular Keurig coffee makers I thought that maybe the coffee would be too weak for my tastes. I needed an alternative so I researched many choices and decided on this Breville. It brews very good and dark coffee that is just right for me.
If darker coffee is what you are looking for then use the 7.25 oz setting which I think is the default one. This is just about the normal sized cup so you will find that you have the right amount every time. Also realize that the taste largely depends on the k-cup that you buy. I prefer the Green Mountain Dark Magic the most but there are tons of choices out there. I have experimented with many of the blends and have a short list of my favorites. The good thing about these machines is it is easy to try a variety of flavors.
If you enjoy drinking tea you will also like this coffeemaker. It makes a nice green and black tea but again, this depends on the k-cup you buy. While brewing tea is usually as easy as putting the bag in some hot water it’s nice to have the option from your coffee maker.
What really makes the BKC600XL a great choice for our family is the speed of the brewing and the ease of use. We don’t have to grind, measure, wait, and clean up anymore. It also works great for our visitors since they can pick and choose which flavor they want and they can have a cup of coffee in around one minute. No more brewing multiple pots that will just go to waste.
