Since the demand for combination machines like this one from West Bend is on the rise we felt we should do our review of it, highlighting some of the positive and negative features. After all if you are spending your money on a new coffee maker you want the one that will serve up the best drinks in the comfort of your home while still falling within your budget. That brings up a good point about this machine from West Bend: it is not one of the more expensive coffee machines you will find, especially for the different things it can do.

Our Review and Ratings For It

One thing we found out when reading other people's reviews of it was that they thought it was poorly made and flimsy. We somewhat agree but we did not have any breakages of the pot like others complained of. While the caraffe and overall machine could be built better it did not fail at all for us. The pot was also easy to pour the coffee from without making a mess.

One area where we did make a mess was making espresso. It seems to splatter quite a bit, but overall we thought the flavor of the espresso was good and the cappuccino even better. The coffee on the other hand sometimes had a bitter flavor to it. Not sure if it was just us getting used to using this specific coffee maker but we never seemed to get it right.

The bottom line on these West Bend coffee makers is that for the price you are getting quite a bit of flexibility. If you are looking for a higher quality machine then you can expect to pay more than this one. For what you pay though, this machine will get you the coffee drink you desire in the comfort of your home.

One Thing To Remember: When comparing this West Bend coffee maker to other machines you have to compare ones that are in the same category and price range. While other coffee makers may have more features and produce a better beverage, they will likely cost more money.
